A nanoparticle is a microscopic particle with at least one dimension less than 100nm. It is a field of science that requires an intense scientific research, because it can be applied in variety of biomedical, optical, and electronic fields. Nanoparticles can be used in nanobiopharmaceutics and nanomedicine by providing the possibility of delivering drugs to specific cells. It can also be applied in cancer treatment with iron nanoparticles or gold shells. Nanoscale particles improve drug bioavailability, which is the presence of drug molecules where they are needed in the boy and where they will do the most good. Therefore, nanoparticles can be designed to develop pharmacological and therapeutic properties of drugs.
